Since that site I like to think that I've improved considerably (although I'll probably look back at this in years to come an wonder what I was thinking). Unlike the geocities site, this is proper hosting on a proper server (none of that linux crap thank you very much!) which means no pop-up ads (unless I put them in) and proper server side scripting! Theoretically that means that I could do a lot more with this site than ever before but that involves me spending time writing stuff and, quite frankly, I can't say when I'll have time for anything like that.
This is the second design of PlanetGriff. I have to admit that I did quite like the first but it was like that for 2 years and it's time for a change. Unlike the first design, most of the pages in this version of the site should be at least W3C/WAI AA compliant but obviously, as I don't take the care over this site that I take over the ones I'm paid to write, there may be some slip ups.
Whilst I was redesigning the site I took the opportunity to make it easier to update so the site now runs out of a custom built, XML based content management system, or at least the bones of one (I do plan to finish it one day but, well, y'know...).
